Rembang, December 26th, 2023 – PT Semen Gresik once again demonstrated its commitment beyond compliance in environmental protection & social empowerment excellence after once again successfully obtaining the Environmental Management predicate or Green Proper for 2023, organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Green PROPER award was received directly by the Director of Operations of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), Reni Wulandari, at the Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Muchamad Supriyadi, revealed that this extraordinary successive achievement is proof that the company has carried out environmental management very well and beyond what is required by regulations and legislation (Beyond Compliance).

"Alhamdulillah, we express our gratitude and thanks for this proud achievement, we are grateful to various related parties who support and foster us so that we get the Green Proper 2023," Muchamad Supriyadi explained in his press statement (26/12).

Semen Gresik continues to be committed to carrying out three things which include environmental management, efficient utilization of resources, and sustainably having social responsibility.

"The company has made various innovations to achieve superior environmental management, including successfully reducing carbon gas emissions, energy and electricity efficiency, utilizing waste with the RDF system, to optimizing biodiversity around the factory," he said.

He continued that the Green Proper is an award given by the government to industries that have the best performance in the environmental category and community development around the company's operational area.

With hopes Supriyadi explained, is that Semen Gresik strives to continue to be consistent in environmental management and have a positive impact on the surrounding environment through the development of community development programs.
